I must admit, I am rough on my feet. Poor feet, they carry me around all day, the get stomped upon while I exercise, pinched in shoes that I wear knowing all too well they are half a size smaller than my foot measures, they even get a bit toasted (braised?) when I run outside, barefoot in the summer to grab the mail without bothering to put on so much as an over-worn flip-flop. My feet deserve better care and better respect than I ever give them. I get an occasional pedicure but all is soon lost because I don't take care of them myself.
Alas ... enter the Ped-Egg and say Adios to foot guilt! I love my egg! A friend of mine who is an egg-addict bought one for me this past week. Compact and easy to use, heck, it's even easy to get out of the package, it is fun to use, easy to clean up and does a great job softening my feet around the edges. The egg is about palm-sized and it looks like, well, a kitchen gadget, something you might use to grate some fresh Parmesean chesse into a salad or zest a lime for some dressing, but, this little gadget belongs next to your bathtub. It even comes with a replaceable emery board surface for smoothing after the grating, er, scraping.
As you scrape your feet clean of calloused dry skin the shavings are collected in the egg and you can easily empty it into a trash can later. I resisted buying one of these for so long and now I will never be without my Pedi Egg.
I have rough and calloused feet for colorfully mentioned reasons above, but this egg made my feet smooth and, well, nice. I followed up with a little lotion and socks. I plan to repeat this weekly for sure!
COST: Retails for about $10.

Thanks for reviewing this! I wasn't sure about the Ped Egg (and it TOTALLY grosses out the bf) but now I am going to get one. I, too am a little hard on my feet (read: very high heels are not shaped like human feet)
